Don Deegan

Vice President, Logistics

As True Value Company's vice president of logistics, Don Deegan is responsible for transportation, logistic operations and overseeing the co-op's Regional Distribution Center network. In his role, Deegan identifies opportunities to further improve operational efficiency, capacity utilization and True Value retailer support. He is also charged with uncovering growth and integration opportunities across the organization which includes logistics, supply chain and retail operations.

Previously Deegan managed True Value's controllership function, financial operations in corporate accounting, sales and marketing and merchandise supply chain, as well as supervised financial reporting and directed budgeting and tax compliance activities. He joined the co-op in late 2004, bringing 20 years of financial, business development and strategy development experience.

Before joining True Value Company, Deegan worked at SPX Corporation as vice president of finance for the company's Filtran Division. During this time, he helped turn the profitable but declining business around and assisted in the establishment of manufacturing operations in China. Prior to that, he helped grow the imaging group at Bell & Howell as vice president of finance and business development and later as business unit president. Deegan began his career in Chicago in 1984 with Price Waterhouse.

Deegan holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Illinois and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Chicago. He is also a certified public accountant.
